Wiacom supports OpenWRT-based routers and CoovaChilli captive portal deployments via local agent or direct configuration. Portal and Key Access are supported. WiFi Pass (iPSK) is not available natively on this platform.

Integration Mode

OpenWRT / CoovaChilli is integrated via Agent / Local Config — Wiacom’s lightweight provisioning component installs on the device and manages RADIUS configuration and portal redirection locally. This provides full Portal functionality on commodity hardware without a vendor cloud API. This is a common deployment path for custom-built or white-label gateway hardware running OpenWRT or derivative firmware. Horizon personal WiFi provisioning is supported through the Wiacom agent where CLI access is available. See Horizon for details.

Requirements

  • OpenWRT or CoovaChilli-based device with SSH / admin access
  • RADIUS server details and portal URL from Wiacom for your region
  • A Wiacom account with a location created
