Horizon is Wiacom’s cloud WiFi identity orchestration layer. It enables personal WiFi experiences across locations — provisioning individual SSIDs or credentials per user, managing their full lifecycle, and delivering consistent connectivity regardless of the underlying vendor.

Integration Flexibility

Horizon works with the vendor’s cloud API where available. Where API access is not supported or desired, Horizon can operate via CLI-based provisioning. This makes Horizon vendor-agnostic and deployable across a broad range of enterprise and hospitality hardware.

Access Features Within Horizon

Horizon does not replace the WiFi access layer — it orchestrates it. Depending on the deployment, Horizon provisions access through:
  • WiFi Pass (iPSK) — a unique personal passphrase per user on a shared SSID
  • Key Access — the shared venue passphrase delivered to the user by email
  • Dedicated SSID — a fully personal SSID provisioned on the controller per user or per room
The choice of access feature is configured per location and per deployment type.

Key Capabilities

Personal SSID

Each user gets their own dedicated SSID — not a shared network

WiFi teleport

Personal WiFi experience follows the user across locations

Automated provisioning

SSID and credentials activated automatically on onboarding; deactivated on expiry

Vendor-agnostic

API mode where supported; CLI mode as fallback

Provisioning Triggers

  • Hotel PMS check-in (OPERA Cloud / OHIP and others)
  • Guest Connect or portal registration
  • API call from external system
  • Admin action in the Wiacom dashboard
  • Scheduled activation (pre-arrival)

Lifecycle

  1. Activation — SSID and/or credentials provisioned on the controller (via API or CLI)
  2. Active period — user connects; usage and analytics tracked
  3. Expiry — access revoked automatically on check-out or period end
  4. Renewal — extended on PMS update or API call
