Remarketing Campaigns turns your registered WiFi audience into targetable Custom Audiences on Meta advertising platforms. The feature generates hashed contact exports formatted for direct import into Meta Ads Manager — no raw personal data is ever included in the output file.
Only guests who have given explicit marketing consent are included in any export. This is enforced by the platform and cannot be overridden.
Two export modes
The mode is selected via the Remarketing Campaign Audience checkbox:
| Mode | Checkbox state | What it produces | Use case |
|---|
| Facebook Audience | Unchecked | Hashed phones · hashed emails · Facebook IDs | Upload as a Custom Audience in Meta Ads Manager for targeting or lookalike generation |
| Facebook Events | Checked | Same identifiers + Event Name + Event Time | Upload as a Conversion Event audience — matches guests to a specific event for attribution or retargeting |
When Facebook Events mode is active, two additional required fields appear:
| Field | Description |
|---|
| Event Name | The Meta internal event identifier (e.g. Purchase, ViewContent, Lead) |
| Event Time | The datetime of the event, matching Meta’s event_time parameter specification |
Audience filters
All filters update a live counter bar in real time. The counter shows matched contacts broken down by identifier type:
| Badge | What it counts |
|---|
| 📞 Phones (green) | Matched contacts with a verified phone number |
| ✉️ Emails (blue) | Matched contacts with an email address |
| Facebook IDs (dark blue) | Matched contacts with a Facebook login |
| Total (grey) | All matched contacts across all identifier types |
Available filters
| Filter | Notes |
|---|
| Campaign name | Internal label for this export — required |
| Gender | All / Male / Female |
| Language | All or a specific portal language |
| Name | Filter by a specific guest name |
| Birthday / anniversary interval | Target guests with an anniversary in a given date window |
| All ages (checkbox) | Checked by default — bypasses the age range filter |
| Age range | Slider 18–100, active only when All ages is unchecked |
| Last visit interval | Only include guests last seen within this date range |
| Visit count | Only include guests with at least N connections |
| Locations | Checkboxes — all locations selected by default |
Exporting the audience
The export buttons are disabled until the form passes validation and at least one matching contact is found.
Remarketing exports require a verified operator contact — a phone number or email address that has been provisioned and approved through your organisation’s data protection process, typically provided by your Data Protection Officer (DPO). This contact is separate from general account details and is used solely to authorise data export operations. If no approved contact is on file, the export will be disabled. Contact your Wiacom account administrator to arrange provisioning.
Two export actions are available:
Download BI Data — generates and downloads a CSV immediately. Contains hashed identifiers formatted to Meta’s Custom Audience specification (SHA-256, normalised per Meta’s requirements).
Export contacts — queues the export via the Download Manager section. Useful for large audiences. The file appears in the Download Manager when ready.
Campaign history
The bottom of the page shows the last 10 exports:
| Column | Description |
|---|
| Name | Campaign name |
| Type | Facebook Audience or Facebook Events |
| Date | Export timestamp |
| Authorization | Verified operator contact used to authorise this export |
GDPR note
All remarketing exports are scoped exclusively to guests who have given marketing consent — this is applied automatically by the platform. The hashed format satisfies Meta’s technical upload requirement. The underlying legal obligation to maintain a valid consent basis for processing remains with the data controller.
