Authentication Model
Wiacom uses per-session generated credentials for RADIUS authentication — not the guest’s MAC address. A unique username and password are generated for each portal session and sent to the Wiacom RADIUS server.SSID Requirements
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Security | Open or Open (Enhanced / OWE) |
| Splash page | Custom splash URL (pushed by Wiacom in API mode) |
| RADIUS Accounting | Must be enabled at Organisation level |
What Wiacom Pushes (API Mode)
- Custom splash URL pointing to the Wiacom portal for the location
- RADIUS authentication and accounting server details
- Walled garden entries for the Wiacom portal domain
